A hand-drawn textile depicting dragons and fishes, washed in mountain water and indigo grown from their village. The dragons watch over all the oceans, and the fish are particularly dear to them. But droughts are common in the Miao region. Legend says that to evoke the rains, the Miao people caught fish, killed them, and caused the dragons to sob.
