This artwork features Lan Yo Jiang's unique character drawings of the Miao community in Southwest China. His compositions draw from Miao visual traditions, weaving human and natural worlds through mythology, abstraction, and movement. Living with limited mobility from a leg injury since childhood, Lan Yo Jiang rarely traveled beyond his village. Instead, he cultivated a distinct visual language through sustained observation and hand practice connected to his village life and folklore.
